December progress report?

Manna Bird Express...?!

Well, that's the December report... actually, the above is all I can share!

That's because I've mostly finished the illustration process, and have now moved on to writing the script.

I can't reveal too much about the dialogue or storyline too early, after all. That means there isn't much I can share...

So, this time I'll be writing a bit about the "game system". And some behind-the-production story!

Gameplay Flow

The flow after Chapter 8 is as shown in the image above.

The sequence [Weekday] → [Night & Morning] → [Holiday] → [Night & Morning] → [Weekday] is repeated, and events are triggered by variables that change mainly during the [Holiday] turn, gradually advancing the storyline.

The main storyline changes after the end of the Night or Morning event. A special event is inserted after the player performs either [Ranjarma goes to bed and sleeps] or [Ranjarma leaves her room and starts her day].

After a certain number of days have passed, the phase will change. After several phases have changed, and Ranjarma has been on the island for about two years, I plan to make that the end of the story.

So I think the play time for one round will be quite long. It will probably be around a few days.

Ranjarma's Diary

Ranjarma's diary is a bonus content, and it is not necessary to check it every time.

When no major events occur, only inoffensive things are written there.

— But when some kind of event occurs. Depending on the flags you have set and the options you have chosen, strange comments may or may not be written.

Ranjarma's personality tendencies change slightly depending on the flags, but her basic personality that is not influenced by flags is "like a serious honour student, but quite crazy." Her perspective is slightly off, and the things she is interested in are strange.

So, Ranjarma's diary is the content that brings out Ranjarma's strangeness.

One thing to note about this content is that you cannot look back and read the diary. The contents of the diary are overwritten every time there is an update, so you cannot, for example, reread the diary from two entries ago.

So if you think "There's something strange written here" or "Is this a foreshadowing or something...?", I recommend taking a screenshot and saving it.

......I don't think there will be any foreshadowing in the diary, though.

Nothing is more difficult to come up with than trivial conversations.

At night, when I'm in bed, I'm thinking about how the next story should unfold, or what kind of conversations they might be having. But when I start up Visual Studio, I'm amazed to find that nothing comes to mind!

It's so hard to come up with the content of trivial everyday conversations!!

Ahh!!

And that's it for now. Thank you for reading this far.
